WarehouseExpress of Norwich UK.

Before you purchase from WarehouseExpress of Norwich, England, a word
of warning. I was duped into purchasing a Helios Startravel 150
Refractor telescope when I believed I was buying an Evostar 150
Refractor telescope.

They advertised a telescope on their web site, it was entitled, Helios
Startravel 150, however, the description and picture were of the
Helios Evostar 150, and in addition, a footnote stated it came with a
motorised EQ5 mount. When I queried and the description and footnote,
I was told that the footnote was incorrect, however, the description
and specification was correct for the telescope. They checked the
physical condition of the telescope and reduced it by a small amount
as it had a few scratches on the mount.

I have spoken to various people, including the owner at
WarehouseExpress and essentially it's tough, they are not going to
supply the correct telescope. I still have not received my receipt,
the missing instruction manual or the guarantee despite many requests.
The Advertising Standards Authority and the Trading Standards are
currently investigating the matter.

I suggest you go to one of the more respectable and trustworthy
sellers available.

Andy,
Make sure the Advertising Standards Authority and Trading Standards follow
through and make sure everything is in writing.
Trading standards, in my experience, sometimes do not have funding to be
efficient try for a writen stament that they have taken your case up and ask
for a progress report after ,say a month. Best of luck, please let us know
how you get on.

That's a shame. I've had nothing but good experiences with WarehouseExpress
over the last few years.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

I've been tempted by their website and prices many times, but as they seem to
hide their physical address*, I've always bought elsewhere. *Multimap returns a
"doesn't recognise" to both versions of their postcode, NR3 2WN & NR32WN.

That's because they use a PO Box number for their address and these often
don't show up on the likes of multimap etc.

I've wandered past their 1st-floor office/depot in Norwich - It's definitely
there - opposite the Coach & Horses pub on Bethel Street.
