galaxies for signs of ET signals (from the final re-observation

years away. Any signal we receive would have been transmitted at least

far too faint to detect with current SETI receivers.

In fact Drake's equation does not even take into account other
galaxies due to their great distance.


Would it not be a much more important find
if a signal was detected from another galaxy?
That would mean that life had started millions
of years earlier than here so that the possibility
of much more advanced forms could be much
closer to our location....
