Default Back on Seti

I've been away from SETI for awhile, hardware problems, ect. and in my
absence I've fallen 6% in the standings, now I'm working on clawing my way
back up the ladder.

I've been looking at the SETI teams and never being apart of or founding
any I'm wondering are SETI teams worth joining? and if so do you retain
your individual credit for your crunching time, or does the group as a whole
assume the credit? and can you join or found multiple teams?

Just a few questions. Any info or answers appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

D.

You retain your individual credit. The team's "score"
is just the CURRENT total of all members' individual
scores.

The teams are just an interesting way to compare your
progress to that of specific other people (friends, etc).

Group credits are separate from individual credits. You can "compete"
for an individual ranking, your group's group ranking, and your
ranking as an individual in a group -- all at the same time.

Teams like Team Lamb Chop ( www.teamlambchop.com ) do an excellent job
tracking individual rankings, graphing results, extrapolating future
results, etc. I'd recommend finding a team that has services like
that for their members. Also, you can try a team for a while. If you
like, you can stay there. If not, you can try another team or go back
to being a solitary contributor.

If you're looking for teams that need people, I've got one... Team Babtrek.
We're a little team that could use people right about now. My account isn't
being updated, so we're starting to fall behind a bit.
