Is anyone else out there running the AMD64 SAH client?
I've read bad reports about it in the press, but my results don't agree with them and I'm interested to know what others get. I have 2 Opteron systems, one with 1 CPU and the other with 2 CPUs, both with PC2700 registered ECC RAM running SuSE ES 8.0. I run both the 64-bit client and the 32-bit client, one after another, once per day (but on weekends, just the 64-bit client, all day long). On the 2P system, I run 2 instances of the same client at a time, though. Here are the averages for 326 WUs in SetiQueue: Name Platform Rev RPD Avg CPU ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- linux641p x86_64-pc-linux-gnu 3.08 4.00 2h13m linux641p i686-pc-linux-gnu 3.08 0.66 2h43m linux642p x86_64-pc-linux-gnu 3.08 11.30 2h15m linux642p i686-pc-linux-gnu 3.08 1.40 2h47m Thanks, |
