Dr. Easterbrook is in the minority among his peers in the scientific community. There is no doubt in my mind that the top actual climate scientists, in a debate with Dr. Easterbrook would blow him away with little effort, since they could easily dispute his distorted 'facts' with actual data.

were lamenting the next Maunder Minimum, but everyone
just laughed in their faces. So they tried the only other option,
and the brainless masses bought it, hook, line and sinker.
Fear of the unknown controls the masses. Seems you have

All this is absolutely true... and you have actually put your finger directly on the problem. Good science has reconstructed the Earth's climate over the last 4.5 billion years, 99.9% of which mankind did not exist. Scientists around the world have a consensus about this and anyone, as you say, can Google it up. The problem is that the "predictable pace" that you have referred to, the pace that the Earth has either warmed or cooled over those 4.5 billion years has increased dramatically over the last century, and the current "observed" pace is much faster than ever before. This trend is clear and unmistakable. The data tells us that every one of the past 40 years has been warmer than the 20th-century average. 2016 was the hottest year on record. The 12 warmest years on record have all occurred since 1998. To deny the data is to claim that scientists have been lying. Your side says that scientists are lying to keep their jobs and to extort money from a stupid public. Your side claims this big conspiracy.

Yeah, I've got a secret for you, too... the public is not stupid. The public is not brainless. That is just fiction. You are basing that arrogant claim on just one factor, that being climate change. For virtually every argument you present as to why climate change is fake there is an answer that can be backed up by science. Sure, it is an inexact science and gives approximate answers, but tens of thousands of scientists are working hard to dial it in, and sooner or later they will do just that.

I would agree that both sides of this issue have charlatans that are looking to get ahead, one way or another, but a vast majority of the climate scientists do not belong to that group, and very few of them, if any at all, are 'getting rich' by preying on the public.

You just should not be making the wild claims that you make, and you make them without a shred of evidence. Your passion for your cause here is not really much different than your wife's passion for her god.

I'm not sure why you categorize me as a chick-**** liberal when you don't know the first thing about me. I am not now, nor have I ever, crusaded for a climate change agenda. And besides, climate change or not, solar panels can save you a lot of money! Also, I agree that nuclear is the way to go.
