I used to love the Twilight Zone with the intro scenes so:

"Presented for your entertainment --- A telescope maker who assembles and
sells ordinary achros with good QC and nice mechanicals. But for whatever
reason, he leaves the beaten path of accurate advertising. Caught in his
earlier claims, he goes farther into the doubletalk until he has left the
path so far behind, he enters the Twilight Zone...

How about that. The scope never had anything wrong with it. It was just that
Ed Ting messed up!
