Default Advice on Rigel on 4" Refractor

Hello all...

I have used a Rigel and a Telrad---I love them both. Have a telrad on my
big reflector and a Rigel on my very tiny etx-90ra

Question. I recently added a 4" 1000mm refractor (f/9) and I hate the puny
finder and where it's located on the OTA. I want to add a Rigel and remove
the finder. Does it matter how far up or down the tube the Rigel is located?
I know the circle changes size, but the accuracy is the same, right? I'm
thinking of mounting the Rigel on the tube ring nearest the eyepiece end...

OR...should I get a right angle finder? My glasses fog up and I have had no
luck with finders and great success with both Rigel and Telrad...

++++++++

Next. How do you guys set up? Do you generally remove the OTA, carry the
mount outside, then mount the OTA? My 8" reflector is a pig to carry
out!!!! The refractor is lighter, but if I extend the legs, it's VERY
difficult to carry! So, generally, set up the tridod/mount and then mount
the OTA outside?
