The Armstrong Purse: Flown Apollo 11 Lunar Artifacts
Posted on February 6, 2015 by The National Air and Space Museum http://blog.nasm.si.edu/highlights-f...the-armstrong- purse/ Secret Stash Of Moon Artifacts Found Hidden In Neil Armstrong's Closet http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2015/02/se...tifacts-found- hidden-in-neil-armstrongs-closet/ Lots of pictures in the above article. The movie camera is especially interesting since it was in the LEM and filmed the landing. The waste management cover is a bit odd though. Jeff -- "the perennial claim that hypersonic airbreathing propulsion would magically make space launch cheaper is nonsense -- LOX is much cheaper than advanced airbreathing engines, and so are the tanks to put it in and the extra thrust to carry it." - Henry Spencer |

I heard on the news last night that his surviving widow has turned all this stuff over to the Smithsonian. So there's a better than even chance we'll get to see it someday!
