I stumbled onto this NASA developed Mars viewer and it really looks great!
It shows you the textured area of Mars facing Earth, the polar cap, the terminator and you can even toggle the locations of the past successful landers! Another window shows you the local time on Mars, etc. Go to http://www.giss.nasa.gov/tools/mars24/ and click the "View Mars24 Applet" link or download it. The server might be overloaded but worth the effort! Regards PS : I am extremely excited about Spirits' success so far! Congrats to everyone involved! |
