Default Galactic orientation

What a comfort it is to present astronomical topics in a forum overrun with social/political commentaries as if they boosted the abysmal situation in astronomy, its perspectives and its relevance for terrestrial sciences.

The Earth going around the Sun produces a carousel effects as stars lying along the plane of the Earth's orbital path disappear behind the Sun ,an observation best appreciated at twilight and dawn over a long period -

The next step of the carousel effect is where the external galaxies replace the individual stars and the galactic orbital motion of the solar system and all the other stars would cause those external galaxies to change position to our point of view and to the galactic center. The closest galaxy to our own may be hidden from view along the galactic plane just as individual stars are temporarily hidden from view by our central Sun as the Earth moves through its course.

This is so enjoyable and as it is so new I would encourage observers to get ahead of me in discriminating what galaxies are behind the Milky Way center and what galaxies exist at a point where we are closer to that galaxy than our own galactic center just as a moving horse on a carousel is closer to external objects than the center of a carousel.
