Default Interesting quoting trick under Thunderbird

I discovered this by accident. When you're responding to a newsgroup
posting or email in Thunderbird, if you have a section of text
highlighted (as if you're about to select & copy it), and you press the
reply button, only that selection of text will get quoted in your reply.
This would make it much easier to respond to long messages, without
having to quote the whole conversation, and then having to trim it down
in your response (or worse, not trimming it down at all, and just
quoting the whole message).
