Default Portable power supply

I think I remember reading (I think in this newsgroup) about a power supply
someone found at Target for a reasonable price. However, when I search
their site, I get no hits. Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance - and happy holidays

Alex

Well, the one I use is a 19 amp-hour jumper battery, all self contained,
from Vektor. I believe I got it at WalMart, not Target. Easy to heft and
store, but will power most things for a long time, even through an inverter,
but laptops will drain it relatively quickly; couple of hours max.

Hope this helps.

I Alex,

I found that my light kit for mountain bike do the job very well on my EQ5 witch
work on 6V. The batteries called night sticks are rechargable and the cable
termnator fits well in controler :-)

It is not practical as much than a power supply like Celestron or Orion but for
the price I do two jobs for the price of one.

I do not tell you to buy that but for curiosity, You can see he

Try Sears, they have a 20 AH pack in the auto department. It includes a
spotlight, compressor and an inverter with two outlets. It was on sale
for $89.

That might have been me. I bought a "Powermate" supply at Target a =
number of months ago for something around $30. It powered my C8 very =
well. But for some reason it would not run a power inverter to give me =
120 VAC for my laptop.=20

I own one, but bought it at a Target store--it was originally labelled
"Greatland" and was in the camping department along with several 12 volt
appliances. It cost $59, and has a 15 Ah capacity. Nice spotlight, am/fm
radio (low-fi), and work light, but don't turn on either light at a star party.

Target also sells a Coleman jumpstarter.
