ASTRO: NGC 2857, 2856, 2854
We had some clear nights at the beginning of March, at last a chance to
really plan an imaging run over more than one night. In the first night (1st of March) the 80% illuminated moon was up, but as it was quite low it didn't make much of a difference in my city skies. NGC 2857 is the face on grand design spiral. As it it very faint for my skies I made sure to include two other, brighter galaxies in the image. Taken from the middle of Berlin with a 10" Meade ACF at f/12 (2975mm focal length), G11 mount, Atik 383 L+, 22x10m L, 11x10m RGB each, all binned 2x2 for a scale of 0,79"/pixel. http://ccd-astronomy.de/temp8/2857colourgut.jpg Stefan |
