It is not the stated value itself that reflects the damage but the
structures built around the loss of planetary facts - http://hypertextbook.com/facts/1999/JennyChen.shtml The wider population probably assume that a 'flat Earth' ideology is the lowest rung in the intellectual ladder but it is the inability to keep all the effects within a 24 hour day in step with daily rotations which occupies reasoning which is lower still . The idea of modeling the Earth's motions using stellar circumpolar geometry and the average 24 hour day is catastrophic, not simply wrong or muddleheaded, but the end of science as studies of the Earth's dynamics and its terrestrial effects never get off the ground even when historical details indicate the error is a late 17th century mutation, specifically a rogue extension of the 24 hour AM/PM system in tandem with the Lat/Long system. http://solarsystem.nasa.gov/planets/...s&Object=Earth Human beings are not designed to support the loss of the facts that the Earth is round, rotating and the 24 hour days keep pace with this dynamic,it simply cannot maintain this scandal regardless of its longevity or the wages, pensions and reputations associated with this awful attempt to model the Earth's motions using an already rejected celestial sphere geometry. The foundations of timekeeping are in front of everyone and the references can easily be understood in that days/years translate into rotations/orbital circuits so why indoctrinate into a dysfunctional system where rotations fall out of step with 24 hour days when the magnificent reasoning employed by ancient astronomers if not common sense dictates that they always keep in step within the confines of 4 orbital circuits of the Earth. People cannot give up or pretend it is not their responsibility for otherwise it fails the very children people are meant to protect and humans beings don't do these things as they have the gift of not only intelligence but compassion. |
