Default HD Orthos at Astrosystems

I have looked more closely at the Ortho descriptions at both University Optics
and at Astrosystems. While a lot of the description is the same, the HD's are
described as parfocal and with eyecups. The old UO Orthos were neither
parfocal nor did they have eyecups. So apparently the HD Orthos ARE a new
type. The old ones cost less, the new ones are $80.
Just FYI.

Hi Bill,
Another quick check: 12.5mm=Classics, 12mm=HD.

I should note the the HD Orthos are "kind of" parfocal. They are not
perfect.

Mike.

Also, unlike the HD's, the standard UO orthoscopics have truncated
tops; a boon to observing comfort.
