Given its age and history wouldnt this tank be better as a display?

It's fine; it's been repaired, re-certified and checked.

It came through last week's countdown like a champ, better than the
much newer tank for STS-133, in fact.

Could I just make a comment about the web sit in the link?
OK I will anyway. I gave up trying to find the article on that page. Its
got no go to main page details, no headings to navigate with and no
landmarks either, its just a higgledy-piggledy collection of text and links.
For us blind folk a few headings and a go to main page content at the top
would make it a heell of a lot better to navigate without a mouse.

Spaceflightnow.com desperately needs an overhaul. I don't think it has
changed much since the days of Netscape Navigator 2.0.
