Why is the whole of astronomy still based on Einstein's unproven
postulate that light always travels at c. The one way speed of starlight has never been directly measured and the postulate is just a variation of Lorentz's aether theory anyway. If the postulate is wrong, as investigation into variable star behavior strongly suggests, then the repercussions for astronomy are enormous. After twenty years of studying this subject, I have written a thesis which revives the old argument that light is ballistic, at least when traveling between completely unconnected objects across deep space. It contains radical modifications and improvements to the earlier theory of Walter Ritz, whose death in 1909 virtually saw the end to the proper development of his 'Emission Theory'. The paper is basiclly descriptive and contains some VBasic .exe programs written by myself that can be ignored if so desired. See it at: www.scisite.info/why_not_ballistic.html |
