Default RegiStax V2.1 update available

Hi,

A new update of RegiStax (V2.1) is available at the website from this
moment on. I hope the new additions (for instance TIFF loading/saving)
and the changes (a more stabile program) will be welcomed.

Thanks to all users who have supported the development by actively
cooperating in the support-team and those that actively have reported
errors.

regards

Hi Cor:

As always thank YOU for providing us with a program that has allowed many of us
to obtain better images than we ever dreamed possible.

Peace,

Thank you Cor. YOu and a couple three others, but especially you, have
changed imaging forever.

Thanks again,

JAS

Hi Cor,

Thanks for your great efforts and...if you ever put out a book titled,
something like, Stacking images for dummies,
I'd be at the head of the line.

Best regards,
Bill

I stumbled on RegiStax just a week or so ago, and have liked it pretty
much so far. It and Iris are my favourite tools for trying out
stacking and other astronomy-related image processing so far. Now if
the weather only be more clear...

The only major gripe so far is that I have to run it under Wine,
because no native Linux version is available. (Somewhat small set
of supported image formats was a slight pain, but addition of TIFF is
a good step to improve this. It'll remove one image format conversion
step from my process.)

BTW, it seems also to be useful for general night photography; by
stacking 19 stills from the same light-pollution illuminated
night-time lake, I got impressively low noise.

Amen to that ! Thanks to Cor and everyone who assisted in the development
of this program. For the first time since I started imaging things, I can
get good quality images of the planets ! And just in time for this Mars
Opposition too.

Thanks Cor !
