Keith Yost does not like NASA:
http://tech.mit.edu/V130/N18/nasap.html A look at a list of his articles indicates he doesn't like much else either: http://tech.mit.edu/author/Keith+Yost/ Does anyone else smell a ChiCom "Red Wiggler" working toward the foundation of People's Democratic Slave Labor Helium 3 Mines on the Moon? Maybe a little capitalism in the form of itching powder "liberally" applied to the inside of his hemp underwear is needed to give this Maoist Moon-Man a new perspective on where his publicly-funded education came from. I for one have no time for the Com-Symp that bites the hand that feeds it at the school cafeteria. Pat (Now attending the Glenn Beck School Of Performing Journalism) ;-) |

Pat (Now attending the Glenn Beck School Of Performing Journalism) ;-) Um, Sorry Pat, but I believe 'The Institute' is privately funded. It has Massachusetts in the name, but name only. The public version of this is the Engineering College at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst MA, or South Boston (Southie).... But as for factual correctness, you're living up to the Beck tradition so your are being true to the Alma Mater I suppose... ;-) Dave PS: Given Youst's editorial slant he better belongs at Harvard divinity not MIT. MIT has far too inglorious of a past in weapons development to say he's doing anything but throwing stones from a glass house. Feed the poor, 'toppins' a bag... |

Reading his articles, it's hard to pin down exactly where he stands politically (he says he's conservative), except that he's very ****ed off about things in general, and extremely ****ed off about some things in particular: http://tech.mit.edu/author/Keith+Yost/ Since we now live in the "Era Of Bad Feelings" he fits right in with the timbre of the times. His brief sojourn in Dubai, followed by turning on the company that offered him a job there, betokens great things for his business futu http://tech.mit.edu/V130/N18/dubai.html That's really funny to read, particularly this part (emphasis mine): "What I learned is that burning out isn’t just about work load, it’s about work load being greater than the motivation to do work. It was relatively easy to drag myself to classes when I thought I was working for my own betterment. It was hard to sit at a laptop and crank out slides _when all I seemed to be accomplishing was the transfer of wealth from my client to my company._(1) I’m a free marketeer. I believe that voluntary exchange is not just a good method of incentivizing people to provide their labor and talents to society, but a robust moral system — goods and services represent tangible benefit to people, market prices represent the true value of goods in society, and wages represent the value that a worker provides to others. Absent negative externalities or monopoly effects, _a man receives from the free market what he gives to it, his material worth is a running tally of the net benefit that he has provided to his fellow man._ (2) A high income is not only justified, but there is nobility to it. _My moral system is organized around a utilitarian principle of greatest good for the greatest number_ (3) — that which adds value cannot be wrong. It did not bother me therefore when I was handed consulting reports that had been stolen from our competitors. If the information in those reports would help us improve our client, then who could say we were doing wrong? Like downloading MP3s, it was a victimless crime." 1.) Capitalist 2.) Commie 3.) Way Commie :-D Pat |

This may seem cruel, but if he realized that someday he might unintentionally pose a Red threat to his native land, even he would see the necessity of such an action. Pat O'Reilly Beck Brilliant! I can't wait until this guy's child turns him in to state authorities for thought-crime committed while having a nightmare and shouting political incorrectness out loud in his sleep. And he'll be greatful that his child turned him in and no doubt will be looking forward to that 'corrective' re-education. It's for the children's sake after all...
