Default Kamikaze Mars mission is back in news

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/nation/6673981.html
Buzz Aldrin thinks it's a good idea; I hereby nominate Buzz to be the
first man on Mars.
But Buzz needs someone to keep him company up there, and given the bold
imagination and innovation it will take to survive for long in that
hostile environment, the obvious choice is that expert on absolutely
everything, Dr. Michio Kaku...a man whose comprehensive scientific
knowledge puts even Mr. Wizard to shame.
See them boldly standing beneath the whirling moons of Barsoom.
See them realizing that I have sabotaged their radio before liftoff, so
that I need never need hear either of their voices again as I leave them
marooned on that remote and forbidding sphere.
See me laughing my ass off back on Earth while dressed like Ming The
Merciless.
Ah, bliss.

Pat
