Without so much as a "thanks for the memories" for 5 years of faithful
service, Orion Telescope has recently kissed-off Virgo Astronomics as its manufacturer of parallelogram binocular mounts and replaced us with cheaper Chinese copies of our products. Well, I guess that's the way of the world, and maybe even a left-handed complement of our products - mimickery being the highest complement and all. Same thing happened with many of their other suppliers, I hear. Many of Orion's customers would routinely call us - from all over the world - regarding product questions and requests for accessories and upgrades, I guess because Orion didn't carry the parts and couldn't help them. I wonder who they'll call now........oh, well........ Howard Albert Gen Mgr Virgo Astronomics |
