Default Observations on Observing From my Deck

I have a small, 12x14ish deck out the back of the house. Is it rock solid.
You can jump up and down and it doesn't move, flex, feel like you will die,
etc. I had the scope out yesterday, to check out the moon. My 3 year old
walking caused enough vibration to knock the image around to the point of
unviewable. I had no idea how much a little vibration (that I couldn't even
feel) would cause.
