That is what I do. Whenever I have disposed of old computers that I have
collected. I may put the towers on the curb for anyone who wants to pick them up for the parts, but the hard drives are removed and literally smashed with a hammer and disposed of in a trash can I do not put up until trash pickup day. |

You know, you could have a lot of fun with this...erase the hard drive, and then write a whole pile of odd stuff onto it regarding harvesting of human organs by aliens, gibberish binary code, odd alien symbols, strange star charts, and exotic insignia of non-existent government agencies - all indicating that something horrible is going to happen on a specific date a couple of years in the future. Then just leave it somewhere and wait for someone to go digging through it looking for personal info. :-D Pat |

Heck it might get you banned from ever flying again.................. but it is funny |
