Air France Flight 447: (does anyone care to ask?)

There is no such atmospheric turbulence at that cruising altitude,
much less lightening. However, this area is also the prime downrange
gauntlet for satellite junk.

Of course global military operations and of their multiple
surveillance satellites plus all sorts of space junk tracking stations
would have recorded Air France Flight 447 on its way, and having known
of whatever was coming down within that specific pathway.

I think LipFlapper's marauding Aliens hi-jacked flight 447.
There had to be enough anal-probing material on board
to last them a years, at least.
The Aliens will really be elated when they find out that most
of them are French, the epitome of sophisticated assholes
on the planet.

For yourself and others of your Zionist Nazi kind, life is just
another faith-based joke that needs to play out on anyone that isn't
already part of your Borg collective cabal.

Well, the people who are so in love with flying, clouds, lightinng,
and travelling,
of any kind, are just going to have to get used to the idea, that
the people who
actually understand the subjects invented GPS, Optical Computers, C+
+, Holograms,
Distributed Processing, On-Line Publishing, XML, USB, All-In-One
Printers,
Light Sticks, Atomic Clock Wris****ches, Digital-Terrain Mapping,
Fiber Optics,
Self-Replicating Machines, Self-Assembling Robots, AUVs, Microwave
Cooling,
Thermo-Electric Cooling, HDTV, Cell Phones, and AUVs, rather than
either NASA or
Air France.

Had the plane been an all-metal Boeing forming and effective faraday
cage against lightning, 'stead of a plastics/composites
conglomeration, it mighta had a different outcome. Remember that
Airbus landing in a thunderstorm in Vancouver several years ago that
experienced an electrical drop-out, overshot the runway and cracked
up?

I agree, that an all-metal skin should be the international norm, plus
double metal shielded circuits that are flight control critical should
be standard. A battery backup for sustaining all essential flight
controls, navigation and communications, that'll last for 30 minutes
should also be incorporated (cost be damned). Uncomplicate aircraft,
eliminate all frills and/or double the price of flying if need be.

Maybe all their fancy-schmancy lightning protection isn't all it's
cracked up to be.

No thanks.

I'll stay where I am and take the risk.

It's still safer than crossing the road
