Default OT- If I suddenly vanish

It will mean something went fundamentally wrong with my city of
Jamestown, North Dakota's preparations for the flood that will start today.
This could be as simple as one of the recently constructed sandbag
levees breaking, or as severe as one (or both, God forbid) of the
earth-fill dams north of town collapsing under the all-time record
weight of water behind them.
Today, the water will start going into the emergency overflow systems on
both dams.
Jamestown Dam is particularly worrisome in this respect as it dates from
1954, and it was later discovered that the earth-fill dams that the Army
Corps Of Engineers built in that time frame weren't as structurally
sound as they thought they would be as they aged. At the moment all
vehicle traffic over the dam has been stopped, and the back face of it
is getting looked at 24/7 for leaks.
If it were to fail, it will pretty much obliterate the part of the town
that is in the valley south of it (around 3/4 of the city).
Luckily, I am on the top of the hills east of the river valley, so won't
have to worry about flooding, but all of the main city infrastructure is
down in the valley (including both fire departments and both phone and
internet providers...which by some horrible fluke are all located within
around two blocks distance from the river), so if it floods big time, I
will probably be cut off from any sort of communication for some time.
I do have plenty of food and water on hand though (there is hardtack
cooking in the oven as I write this), so should be able to ride out any
problems till outside help can arrive.
I don't think this is at all likely, but just wanted to give people a
heads-up in case it _did_ happen.
Things should start to improve come Thursday, but until then the city is
going to be mighty apprehensive.

Or maybe not... now, The Corps Of Engineers has just released a report
stating that there will be no overflow at the Pipestem dam at all, and
the Jamestown Dam won't reach overflow stage till Thursday instead of today.
Although this sounds like great news, if all those levees have been
built over the last week for no reason, there are going to be several
thousand very PO'd citizens who were working night and day on them
without pay who are going to want blood.

More like this:

If there's a way for a woman to look more beautiful than that, I've sure
never run into it.

Goth can look very scary; on her it looks downright charming and lovable.
....and _what_ a smile.
But of course for redheads I must return to the mid 1960's... and of
course HER, who was the very inspiration of my puberty:

Being Irish-American, I think I have some sort of genetic predisposition
toward redheads.
But of all of the three noted above, I'm pretty sure if I ever ran into
Milla Jovovich, I'd take a long look at her face and just keel over in a
dead faint from seeing something as beautiful as that.
Particularity her eyes:

"Particularity her eyes"?
Okay, I was having some fun romantic fantasies regarding her while
writing that. :-)
The key point of my plan of impressing her into my arms is to save her
new daughter, little Ever Gabo, from a dinosaur-infested island.
Unfortunately, two impediments stand between myself and the success of
this plan:

1.) The lack of a dinosaur-infested island from which baby Ever-Gabo
could be rescued from.
2.) Some means of getting baby Ever-Gabo to such an island, if it did
exist, so she can be rescued from it by me...without drawing undo
suspicion to myself in the temporary vanishing of the child.
Other than that though, I think this plan is a winner. :-D

You want to hear something amazing, latch onto her CD "The Divine
Comedy" sometime... not only does she look great, but she can write and
sing like it's going out of style.
_Really_ sharp stuff that will stop you dead in your tracks when you
hear it:
http://www.amazon.com/Divine-Comedy-.../dp/B000002TNT
She whips into "Gentleman Who Fell" and it's early Sarah
McLachlan/classic Kate Bush territory.
