Still, it's a hilarious photo. OM Could you guys see/read the Cyrillic charcaters/letters on the screen? Or did it just come up as jibberish symbols? Because they had the translated article (English) as well, but I thought sending things actually in Ukrainian language is a stroke of genius. And of course, there's plenty more where that one came from. mk5000 ----- Original Message ----- From: "marika" Newsgroups: monash.sft.agents,alt.usenet.legends.lester-mosley Sent: Wednesday, March 18, 2009 10:15 PM Subject: terms of house bunny Someone at work called me the other day to tell me that he had a friend in Roanoke who needed a referral to a lawyer asked him the name and what he does OF COURSE I KNEW HIM which is funny cos the dude I work with is from NY mk5000 "And that Filmation had a color-blind guy in charge of painting. There are PLENTY OF cyrillic letters in this sentence alone! sigh...But there are none actually represented in the picture in question. Sure there were. In the emblem NASA, on the tail end of the plane, there are 2 immediately recognizable Cyrillic letters. A and then another A. When you read something, without context, you read it first in English and when there are unknown symbols you decide it is a different language. When I read something, I see slavic language first and then when I don't recognize the word and or symbols, I try a different language. The Cyrllic alphabet and the one used by the Western World has an abundant amount of common symbols. Have you ever tried to reprogram, manually, an English keyboard so a Cyrillic user can use the same one? The 2 alphabets have more in common than not. It took me longer to find the software and understand how it works than it took me to actually reprogram the keyboard. It's just not that different [bangs head against wall] don't do that, please mk5000 "I read the script and there was so much of the character in me and how I lived for the past 15 years. I thought this is too close. I knew this movie was going to take its pound of flesh. But that's why I wanted to do it. Because the thing about me is , I'm not the kind to go down real easy.
