Human beings are no more intellectually capable today than we were 20,000 years
ago.

It took us more than 20,000 years to realize that earth is not the center of the
universe.

There is a reason why it took us so long to become aware of what is real and what
is perceived.

The fact that humans are self aware is both a blessing and curse.

Most people project onto the world their perception of it.

"I think it, therefore it is"

Fact is, just because you think something does not make it real.

Because we project how we interpret our world onto to the world we live in, we
distort or understanding of it.

If every single human being believed the world was flat it would not make it so.

If millions believe in god or aliens it has no bearing on whether they exist or do
not exist.

If I wanted to argue that all of creation was my invention I could do so using
the same methods that all other "believers" use. (believers of aliens or god or
both).

This is the same method that kept humans in the dark for more than 20,000 years.

It is the same reason ALL of you "believers" are in the dark!

Thank god you will never be asked to do heart surgery me any time soon!

I'll catch you later, I have to go back to rubbing sticks for fire in the back of
my cave!

IQ Scores Continue to Rise

Psychology/Sociology

IQ Scores Continue to Rise
Scores on intelligence quotient (IQ) tests are rising in industrialized
countries, suggesting that people there may be getting smarter. “Everyone is
getting smarter in some way—and a lot smarter,” said Dr. Ulrich Neisser, a
professor of psychology at Cornell University. “We’re living in a golden
age.”
Since 1938 IQ scores have increased by about 6 points a decade. In 1932 the
median IQ in the United States was 100; in 1997 the median score was 120.

Although overall IQ scores are rising, however, scores in some areas are
falling. “Fluid intelligence,” or the ability to know how to do something,
is increasing, according to researchers, while the level of “crystallized
intelligence,” or information-based knowledge, is declining. Students in the
1930s, for example, would
have been much more likely to know the answer to a questions such as
“What is the boiling point of water?” than today’s students.
Several factors could explain the increase in test scores, according to
experts in the field. Better nutrition has almost certainly played a role.
Decreases in family size, increased urbanization, and growing familiarity
with test taking may also have increased IQ scores. The fact that children
sometimes encounter the kinds of mazes and puzzles found in IQ exams before
taking the tests has probably also increased scores.
