The timing of this announcement, the current budget, the war, his father's
ability to make things like this work, and W's ability to keep his word
regarding anything outside supplying the oil industry direct access to the
US Government, has me skeptical to say the least. I'll believe it when I
see it.

You're far too generous. I'll believe it when I see that Congress has
written the check and NASA has cashed it and stashed it in an offshore
account.

Until adequate money has been produced from fresh sources, not merely
promised or liberated from existing programs, it's all talk and a waste of
bandwidth.

I've got just a couple hundred thousand words about our resident
warlord taking us back to the moon, I feel somewhat strongly like
following in his educational "high standards and accountability"
that's only being recently superseded by his "so what's the
difference" policy.

For starters, it's about time, whereas actually for the first time
we'd be actually doing humanity a terrific sort of favor, especially
if we can get our fearless leader to ride in one of those Apollo
landers and strut about for 36 hours in one of those Apollo moon
suits, as that way we'd stand our best chance ever of getting rid of
the *******, once and for all.

Otherwise I'm all for investing into whatever it takes in establishing
ourselves on the moon before others take possession of all that nifty
He3.
