Came down over South Pacific:

Note that it nearly came down on Australia, the great space trash magnet.
Remember that scene in "The Right Stuff " where the Aborigines were
performing a ceremony and the space fireflies were up around Friendship 7?
They were no doubt trying to prevent it from falling on them. After all
those empty beer cans raining down from aircraft they'd had quite enough
of the white man's metal trash falling out of the sky on them. :-)

....Unless it hits Yahoo Serious, then all is forgiven.

Remember when Mir came down? Taco Bell had a floating target set up off
Australia so that if any pieces survived reentry and hit the target,
everyone in the countries where Taco Bell has restaurants would get a free
taco. Mir came down to the north, so the banner wasn't hit.

A few days ago, their best guess of reentry was over western Russia....
so they got it wrong by around 180 degrees.

It's all a game, isn't it.
