Default What if (on planetary worlds)

What if there was life looking down to us from the nearby star Proxima
Centauri ? They could see the Sun wobble back and forth, moving against
the back ground sky. Not hard or them to figure that this 12 year wobble
is created by a very large planet that orbits once around in 12 years.
Reality is if we are visited by little green men its Jupiter that got
them here. These green men could have measurements of the solar spectra
(Doppler shift),and then Jupiter also would dim the sun as it crosses
the Sun surface creating a partial eclipse. Well we have been doing
the same thing over the past 12 years, and found many of these same
features out there. Even found a planet that is 8 times larger than
Jupiter. What would be a great interest to me would be this How great
a difference other solar systems are to ours. Can twin stars have a
solar system. Will we ever detect rock planets. Can we detect
oxygen,water,and iron bert

Bert, surely the Centaurians have much more powerful telescopes than we do,
since we are busy inventing so many other things due to the difficult lives
we lead.

Well its rather recent astronomy looking for planetary worlds, and for me
that is right now the most interesting thing astronomers can do. Looking
for new worlds to answer a very hard question Are we alone??? bert

I think it's more likely we're intentionally isolated, as somewhat
cosmic quarantined for our own damn good and the safety of others.

What ET or God in their right mind would intentionally allow the
infestation of terrestrial humans outside of this passive little solar
system?

Such faith-based bigots of the most intellectual racist kind seem to
have their scripted limitations, and rabbi Saul is certainly no
different.

See Brad? This is an example of one of your ideas that i
really like. It's as if we're prisoners on a world that it seems
impossible, or almost impossible to escape. Maybe we ought
to rename our world "ALCATRAZ"!...

Painius & BG Its more like we are in the middle of no where. Every
thing out side our solar system is to far away. So far away we can not
burn our figures. Reality is even when we were on the moon we never
really touched it go figure bert
