Yea, right. There was nothing magic about any of that wisdom.
It was developed based on the Scientific Method. If I give
a person who is sick this leaf, he dies. If I give him a tea
made from the leaf he gets well. There was no magic in any
of that. The magic was packaging to impress the users and
job security.

Although I've always wondered how people got from chewing the
leaf to making a tea (or whatever specialized treatement). I
know that animals can smell (somehow) the stuff that will make
them feel better. I assume that homo sapiens or an ancestor
had a similar ability.
