Atomic force microscope shows Martian dust particle looks more like a
biological cell
than a clay.

Following two figures show differences between
biological and non-biological matter.


Fig. 1: a Martian dust particle of 1 micron across, with oval and
convex shape in comparison with clay in Fig. 2.
