Default That thread about the Earth stopping spinning got me thinking:

Could the Earth become tidally locked with the Sun (hypothetically; say
the Sun has increased in size to allow it), or would the presence of the
Moon prevent it from happening?

Am I the only person who finds the change in the orbital orientation
of a location to the central Sun to be fascinating and especially with
modern imaging which makes it a 100% geometric and physical
certainty ?. -

I have to say,I am scratching my head wondering what ,for goodness
sake, is going through the heads of people who are looking at the
change in the orientation of the rings to the central Sun denoting how
axial rotation and rotational orientation are seperate to that orbital
change -

This is just a different era where information and its transmission is
more flexible ,while a central authority would be advantageous,I have
yet to come across people who actually like structural astronomy never
mind speak for it.,
