The propellers and motors can't be protected from entry 2. A round parachute can't be controlled 3. The orientation of the capsule can't be controlled |

today I've updated my "Orion's precision LAKE landing at KSC" article http://www.ghostnasa.com/posts/030orionlakelanding.html with my idea of an "ON LAND (hundreds times reusable) inflatable airbags landing system" of course, build a "lake of airbags" may cost several million$ but may allow to SAVE several HUNDREDS million$ to develop the LAND landing Orion's airbags and (most important) SAVE (also) over 1.5 mT on the (now overweighed) Orion's mass, while giving (both) LAND (or LAKE) and SEA landing options to the new capsule! .. |

As usual, you've got good ideas and better methods than most. But sadly, you're not DARPA/Jewish enough. Get it? .. - Brad Guth |
