Default why is it stated that: there is no current theory of how the universe was formed?

is it because there is not a theory of consensus? or is their actually
difficulty,in forming probable theory?I have prob with cocept that there "is
not a current accepted theory on the creation of our universe. Can someone point
me to related material ?foolish me,seems to think that this should be a
"relatively simple matter" to form theory about.
