An advanced civilisation on Earth?

We've all seen the human-like face on Mars, and the little figure
striding out across the red soil. Here at last is a similar indication
that, despite the strong evidence to the contrary, there really is
intelligent life on Earth.

The picture appears to show a human face sketched out in the cloud above
Australia, the sheer scale of it suggesting that the Aboriginal people
have themselves been into space.

The human brain has a tendency to see faces amongst random shapes.
Perhaps a highly developed form of self-protection in seeing the faces
of possible enemies or hunting animals hidden in the complexity of
jungle foliage in earlier times. No doubt warpaint was developed to
confuse this 6th sense rather than frighten the enemy. An early form
of facial camouflage still practiced by fighting troops.
