again, ST2K testing, i was surprised by the quality achieved only with 2
20mins shots combined. same setup : 8" SCT at FD5, astronomik Halpha filter 6nm. Patrice Boyer |

i hesistated between st8 and st2k which was nearly a gift with its filter wheel cfw9, finaly i'm happy with my choice and its halpha ability. Additionally the dynamic range is greater with the ST8E's sensor and the read noise is lower. all in all that sensor is the better sensor of the two for sensitivity, noise, dynamic range but its pixels are fewer in number and larger in size (which is why the well capacity is higher) "Richard Crisp" a écrit dans le message de t... excellent pix, both Patrice!
