Rivers (part of the Murray/Darling basin).

warning.

FLOOD WARNING FOR THE PAROO RIVER
Issued at 9:38am on Saturday the 1st of December 2007
by the Bureau of Meteorology, Brisbane.

Major flooding is occurring on the Paroo River between Humeburn and Eulo and
major flooding will extend downstream to Hungerford over the next week.

At 6am the Paroo River at Eulo was 4.65 metres and falling from an estimated
overnight peak of around 5 metres. This level is less than the January 2004
flood which reached 5.15 metres. River levels upstream at Humeburn have peaked
overnight and are now falling. Some renewed rises are possible during the
weekend at Eulo but they are not expected to exceed previous levels but will
cause major flooding to continue for the weekend and into next week.

Moderate flooding has developed downstream at Caiwarro and major flooding is
expected at Caiwarro and Hungerford during the weekend and early next week.
Based on current upstream levels the Paroo River at Hungerford is expected to
reach around 2.4 metres during the middle of next week.

There has been no significant rainfall reported in the catchment in the last 24
hours.

The next warning will be issued at about 10am Sunday.

Weather Forecast : [issued 0455 Saturday]

Fine in the west. Isolated showers and thunderstorms elsewhere this afternoon
and evening. Some light rain areas in the far east initially. Light to moderate

FLOOD WARNING FOR THE WARREGO RIVER
Issued at 10:01am on Saturday the 1st of December 2007
by the Bureau of Meteorology, Brisbane.

Minor to moderate flooding continues in the Ward, Langlo, Nive and Warrego
Rivers.

Minor to moderate flooding is easing in the Nive River at Biddenham and is
expected to begin to ease in the Warrego River at 27 Mile Garden during today
[Saturday]. Some rises are occurring downstream at Charleville and minor
flooding is expected to develop during Saturday and continue during the weekend.

River levels in the Ward and Langlo River are generally peaking with moderate
flooding expected to ease slowly over the next few days.

Rises to minor flood level are expected downstream from Murweh to Wallen during
the weekend. Minor flooding has developed at Wyandra and rises have started at
Wallen where minor flooding is expected during today and moderate flood levels
are possible early next week.

Minor flooding continues downstream at Cunnamulla with further rises expected
during the weekend. Early indications suggest a peak of near 8 metres [Major
flood Level] is possible at Cunnamulla Bridge around the middle of next week but
this prediction will be updated as upstream peaks are recorded.

Moderate flooding is expected to extend downstream from Cunnamulla to Rocky late
next week.

The next warning will be issued at about 10am Sunday.
