I haven't noticed this mentioned until I ran across it through
Reuters -- http://www.collectspace.com/ubb/Foru...7.html#mystery In short: the Aerospace Legacy Foundation took possession of Apollo Boilerplate Number 6 to renovate it and prepare it for display in Downey, California, where it was made. When the hatch was removed for the first time in four decades, they discovered that this was in fact Apollo Boilerplate Number 12. The fate of Boilerplate Number 6 is not at the moment precisely clear. The link includes pictures, including some nice ones showing the North American aviation Space and Information Systems Division identification panel. -- Joseph Nebus ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
