Last time he disappeared, I sent an e-mail to the county sheriff and asked
that they check on him. About 36 hours later I got a reply -- they had
talked to the trailer park owner, etc., etc.

I'll find their address and send them another e-mail.

Done. I just fired off an e-mail to the Kern County sheriff, told them the
situation and asked for a check on Dennis' welfare.

I told them that this had happened before -- also told them that his trailer
had been vandalized in his previous absence -- told them about his cats
having been taken to the pound and euthanized -- maybe the sheriff's office
can help out with security, though it may be too late if something happened
to him days ago.

I'll let everyone know what I find out.

Hi, Mark and Joe and all.

Thank you for helping to look after one of our own: Starlord, who has almost
literally hitched his wagon to a star.

As a new participant here, I celebrate all of the years of history behind
this group, about which I'm learning little by little over the weeks and
months, even as my focus of attention shifts from Sagittarius to Capricorn,
Piscis Austrinus, and Sculptor.

Usenet can still be a place of learning, civility, and compassion -- thank
you for making it so!

Most appreciatively,

Margo Schulter

He hasn't answered my emails (but they have not bounced) and all I got when
I phoned him was an answering machine.
I really believe that the recent flood of malicious posts in SAA about
Starlord from that deranged person have made Dennis wary of SAA altogether.

I was once flamed by at least two different people for merely suggesting
this was a community... unfortunately it is a highly disrupted
community, mostly (in my opinion), due to the presence of one or more
trolls. It appears to be the goal of these people to disrupt the
"community" aspect as much as possible. Sad, really. I seldom feel
like I can just be myself around here. And what kind of community is that?

What can be done to locate the person that is creating those malicious
posts? Can anyone find where the posts are originating from?

Srcew the feelings, put on the PG-13 filter for the sake of the young at
heart, and just be yourself anyhow. Don't sweat it.
