Was looking at this wondering how the tail is formed? It doesn't say in the article, it mentions it's a fast moving star but... A true comet has the solar wind to form the tail but this star is in interstellar space. Surely all the material blown off would retain the same velocity and direction of the star and make a nebula. It mentions a bow shock too, this would indicate a medium it is travelling through. Is the interstellar medium dense enough? L -- Remove Frontal Lobes to reply direct. "These people believe the souls of fried space aliens inhabit their bodies and hold soup cans to get rid of them. I should care what they think?"...Valerie Emmanuel Les Hemmings a.a #2251 SA |
