Default ASTRO: Jupiter and Io

Greetings all,
Well, even though seeing was good, Jupiter is fairly low on the horizon
and I'm imaging over a hot summer roof. But with that said, I'm pretty
happy with the result considering I used an 8 inch scope. Thanks!

Joel

For now I can only dream of seeing it that clearly.

Wait 6 years and then it will be nice and high again. For me at 47+
north it is in the trees most of the time -- a problem with living in a
forest. It will be a few years before I can see it clearly again.

Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct.
Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh".

Looks good to me Joel!!

Another problem with imaging planets low is the impact of diffraction
causing a blurring of the colors. Adirondack Video Astronomy sells a gizmo
that uses prisms that supposedly adjusts for this effect. I've never tried
it.
