Farscape was good, but not great. Don't get me wrong, I watched them and enjoyed them. But I have no desire to watch them again. One of the things I loved about Farscape was its unpredictability. Watching it again would kill that. On the other hand, I do find Firefly rewatchable. B5, now. . . Agreed Firefly is rewatchable. Don't think B5 is rewatchable (some episodes are, but not the series). Same opinion on TNG(not). TOS is almost infinitely rewatchable. DS9 is mostly rewatchable. At my age of 78, soon to be 79, nothing is rewatchable! I can't afford to waste time. First run for the rest of your days, eh? I'm afraid there isn't that much watchable stuff in that regard, either. Depends how much he's seen already. TV shows that old really tend to suffer from modern comparisons, quite apart from their generally transparent plot lines and cardboard characters(a fault even the good ones have compared to a 500-page book) -- Mary Loomer Oliver (aka Erilar) You can't reason with someone whose first line of argument is that reason doesn't count. --Isaac Asimov Erilar's Cave Annex: http://www.chibardun.net/~erilarlo* |

Why would anybody buy the first fifth of a novel, stop right there, permanently, and then keep that part of the novel? I liked the first season. I didn't like the rest of it very much (there were moments I liked and hours I didn't). It's just that it appears counter to the general consensus that Seasons 1 and 5 of Babylon 5 were the weakest, and that the show got better and better up through Season 4 before tailing off in the first half of Season 5 and then coming back stronger in the second half of Season 5. You're the first person I've ever encountered in 12 years of being online discussing B5, who thought that Season 1 was the best, the most worthwhile season, and the only B5 DVD set worth having. -- Mac Breck (KoshN) ------------------------------- "Babylon 5: Crusade" (1999) Durkani: It doesn't matter if they believe us.
