A new adhesive and the affects of the high humidity at KSC. The problem was not manifested during testing in dry Utah. The change was to a more enviro friendly adhesive. Thiokol now makes the old adhesive in-house. As you must know, I showed that this quote was in error. Hot gases could not possibly have "seeped through the field joints between segments" simply because of bad adhesive. I hope this helps. Your earlier post was helpful, but this one was not.
