Why is Battlestar Galactica Being Cancelled if it's so great?

Because the execs at scifi keep killing themselves out of depression
when they watch it, so they can't afford that.

Sure but why? I mean what is your reason, especially when "It's the Principle!" says
"..it aspired to be.." but "..blew the big one." You, me and he/she are entitled to
our opinions and I want his/hers and everyone else's. After all, the thought was
posted on a public forum to elicit a response. I simply want to know why he/she
thinks that.

I've commented on it rather lengthily in the past, back when I quit
watching it. Short form: It was a dreary soap opera starring mostly
unsympathetic characters, and when they stranded themselves on that
unpleasant planet so the Cylons could take over, it lost any appeal for
me whatsoever. I quit watching and never went back.

Partial agreement. I watched about 1 1/2 episodes of X-Files. Not for
me. Add Farscape. That and Firefly are definitely my relatively recent
favorites. I really liked Blake's 7 when it was on. And until

For me it went to hell starting with the first episode of Season 6.
There may be a few good episodes in Seasons 6 thru 9, but even at $19.96
per season set, and with a $20 Off coupon, I *still* can't force myself
to buy Seasons 6 thru 9.

So he did. While I would agree that this was more or less the point that I
realized that the mythology wasn't going to be the parts of the show worth
watching, I still liked it a lot for quite some time after that. I must be
thinking of some other event. *

It wasn't cancelled. The producers themselves decided to conclude
the storyline.

Or it was cancelled and they said that to save face.

No, it wasn't. Read up on it.

Read what I said. If they are lying they are lying, no way we can
