If Battlestar Galactica is such a great show, then why are they
cancelling it? It hasn't been on very long and they made very few
episodes.

It's because it's NOT a great show. It started out to be. It aspired
to be. It blew the big one.

Heh, what she said.

She likes it a lot better than I do.

It's great for my insomnia though.

Partial agreement. I watched about 1 1/2 episodes of X-Files. Not for
me. Add Farscape. That and Firefly are definitely my relatively recent
favorites. I really liked Blake's 7 when it was on. And until
Enterprise I kept watching all the Star Trek spin-offs even though they
could be spotty.

The first few seasons of the X Files were actually very good. Up to the
death of Deep Throat #1, I'd even rate it in "must see" territory. After
that it started declining, with just enough moments of brilliance to keep
you from tuning out altogether. And then the movie came out ... and I never
watched another episode. *

For me it went to hell starting with the first episode of Season 6.
There may be a few good episodes in Seasons 6 thru 9, but even at $19.96
per season set, and with a $20 Off coupon, I *still* can't force myself
to buy Seasons 6 thru 9.
