BUT I think the point was "unknown tech". It is hard to test for unknown
tech. I still think the most likely spot to look for ET is Earth and low orbit. That would be an unproved assumption or speculation. Quantum entanglement is a property of photons or particles, which travel at the speed of light for photons or less for particles. In the case of photons, they are using light (or radio for lower frequencies). In the case of particles, much much slower. Hopefully they are not using gamma ray bursts for communication. Rich " ... using gamma ray bursts ..." From the standpoint of the message recipient, would that be similar to sitting in front row seats at a heavy metal rock concert; or attending the "Disaster Area (a plutonium rock band)" concert as described in Douglas Adams' HHG). g For details, you might review http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/7356/hhgttg/guide-d.html Hehe, nice analogy. :^/ I'm also reminded of a Star Trek movie, I think it was 4, where the visiting aliens almost destroyed the earth when they were not answered by whales. Wonder of Wales will still exist then? Rich |
