Why is Battlestar Galactica Being Cancelled if it's so great?

- Because Galactica, like Babylon 5 and Earth Final Conflict, was
predestined to be five years long. Just like a book, the story was
preplanned to have a definite ending. There is no point to continue
the story past season 5.

It's because it's NOT a great show. It started out to be. It aspired
to be. It blew the big one.

Because the execs at scifi keep killing themselves out of depression
when they watch it, so they can't afford that.

It wasn't cancelled. The producers themselves decided to conclude the
storyline.

Or it was cancelled and they said that to save face.

Or season 4. BSG isn't going into its fifth. It's about to finish it's
fourth season. Sci Fi was open to five seasons but the producers decided
to end it at the fourth instead.

No, it wasn't. Read up on it. They went into this season with the plan to
make it the last season.
