Its not often one comes across software that is truly amazing
but this little baby is a real gem.

NOTE, you need a fast cpu and lots of ram to have it running
nicely, linux and windows versions available, free too ;-)



Celestia is an excellent, excellent program. I think something more along
the lines of Starry night or some other planetarium type program would
better suite his needs.

You are right, though. Celestia is a gem. Completely free too. Tons and tons
of add-ons and High resolution textures and blah blah blah... When I
first used this program a few months ago, you couldn't get me to stop
talking about. Kinda like now
