I seem to remember Walter Mondale back in 1984 that he would severely curtail, if not, scrap altogether, manned spaceflight. Fortunately, Ronald Reagan blew him away in Nov. 1984. Obama will go down to defeat if he is the democrat candidate of president. But, then again, so will Hillary Rodham Clinton, since it seems to me, her policies aren't any different. And there seems to be a whole of democrats (and a few republicans, but mainly democrats) who seem to be opposed to any sort of policy when it comes to manned spaceflight. While other nations are complemplating flights to the moon and beyond, the democrats seem to be going backwards, despite Clinton tearfull assertions that she wants the country to go forward. I know. We are at a real crossroads in space policy in this country. Thats why I created www.actionforspace.com, because I believe that people like you on the internet will tell the politicians (if given the tools that are at actionforspace.com) that you support spaceflight and they should to. We are making a difference already with the politico debate questions. |
