Those menatlly ill crackpost need to be locked into rbber rooms. Ah, yes, those ... astrobiologists! Can't have any of those 'life in the universe' types running loose. The alien spaceship crackpots, Einstein. You're not an apologist for them, are you? Well, simple physics appears to be in their favor. More likely than not, lets just say. If you're in favor of pandering to the alien spaceship nutjobs, that makes you part of the problem, not part of the solution. Better to just shut those telescopes and spectrometers down. Well, I have to get back to my bible studies now. All you do is tell lies, and try to put them ointo other people's mouths. Comparing to astrobiology to spectroscopy is like comparing spoiled meat with maggots to platinum/iridium alloy. Spectroscopy is the gold standard, airhead, and astrobiology is vaporware. I see, all those universities and government institutions are misguided. Even supergeniuses are subject to the curse of mob mentality. Cute. You realize that I am a spectroscopist as well as an astrobiologist, right? You realize I just published a paper on rocket science, do you not? Not a one of those things you just said contradicts my "cute" observation. Even spectroscopists who are full professors, with thirty years of tenure at Caltech, are subject to the curse of mob mentality. What mob would that be, the mob of spectroscopy enthusiasts? Scientists with common sense know enough not to announce the discovery of extraterrestrial life, because they'll just have to eat their words after it's disproven. Cry "wolf" too many times, and it'll ruin your career. I see, and after you have examined the entire universe for life, you will have 'disproven' the existence of extraterrestrial life, right? That statement alone (along with the numerous spelling errors in the treatise that follows) is enough for me to disregard anything you say. The laws of physics appear to be universal, at least on the scale that we are able to detect them, and then examine them. Get used to it. Asking those faith-based naysayers of ETI and even opposed as to any kind of ET life, to keep an open mindset is the same as asking the Pope to fess up to his cult having exterminated most all of those nice Cathars (no matters what the consequences, it just isn't going to happen). - Brad Guth |
